The Local Area

This attractive apartment is situated in the heart of Muchamiel (Mutxamel) a small friendly Spanish town not far from Alicante centre. There is a small supermarket at the bottom of the street as well as a pharmacy nearby. Most of the shopkeepers speak some English.

Alicante airport is 20mins away and the Beach at San Juan is a 10-15mins walk away. The Harbour in Alicante is well worth a visit as is the Castle in the town centre. The museums are not to be missed. A bit further up the coast there is Benidorm New and Old Town, with all its charms and nightlife. There is Terra Mitica theme Park for a wonderful day out. Or take a drive into the mountains to visit Castille Guadalest a castle fortress in the mountains with spectacular views overlooking turquoise blue lagoons and the coast in the distance, stopping on the way to visit one of the road side vendors. All this and 300 days of sunshine to enjoy!
